er Bags: Our newspaper childrens party bags are made by an NGO (non government organization), whose
main objective is to provide education and shelter to street children.
The organization was started in 200 by street children who wanted to
give something back in return for the opportunities which had allowed
them to escape desperate circumstances. These elder children, now
married with children of their own, generate an income by making newspaper bags and jute items. This allows them to take care of
thirteen street children that they have saved from the street's
surrounding Delhi train station. Support for this wonderful project
means that these children can enjoy going to school and playing, rather
than pulling rickshaws, shoe polishing, rag picking and worse.This bag also comes with our bespoke name tag, as shown above.

need. Latex balloons are
produced from the milky sap of the rubber tree, hevea brasillensis. It
is grown on plantations in many tropical countires. The plantations
help the ecosystem, as the natural biology of the trees helps maintain
our atmosphere and protect the ozone layer. The sap is collected in
buckets, as it drips from harmless cuts in the bark. The use of latex
balloons and other latex products make rubber trees economically
valuable, which discourages people from cutting them down and provides
a valuable revenue to many third world countries. Latex is a 100%
natural substance that breaks down in sunlight and water. The
degradation process begins almost immediately after the balloon is
manufactured. Research has shown that latex balloons biodegrade at
about the same rate as an oak leaf. I hope you have found this

Parents
having to budget to give their child a special birthday to remember
and to present the children that came, a special gift to say thank you
for coming. In my day it was a treat just to be invited to a party
and the only thing I remember taking home was a slice of cake
wrapped in a napkin but I guess that was a long time ago and things
have changed. Which is why when my own children hit the age of
parties I found them coming home with a plastic bag filled with lots
of sweets and plastic throw away toys. I was determined not to go
down that route and so with the help of my Husband and three
children, we started Eco Party Bags and we are on a mission to source
a range of gifts , toys, bags and party items that fit our criteria
of being at least one of the following: recycled, reusable, fairly
traded, biodegradable, made here in the Uk, and all must be safe,
fun and affordable.
